LeanDecom – Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the LeanDecom platform (“the Platform”). LeanDecom is a trading name of Energy Insider Ltd, registered in England & Wales, with its registered office at Horizon House, 81-83 Waterloo Quay, Aberdeen, AB11 5DE (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Account Registration and Security
- Users may be required to register for an account to access the platform or LeanDecom’s courses delivered via Thinkific (the “LMS”).
- Registration requires accurate, current, and complete information.
- You are responsible for the security of your login credentials and all account activity.
- LeanDecom reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts if incorrect information is provided or security is compromised.
2. Payment Models
2.1 Individual Subscriptions
- Offered to individuals on a monthly or annual recurring basis.
- Subscription fees and renewal terms are clearly disclosed during checkout.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled prior to renewal via account settings.
2.2 Corporate Payments
- Available to organisations for multi-user access.
- Payment terms, access duration, and user limits are defined in the Corporate Purchase Agreement (“CPA”).
- Unless otherwise agreed, corporate invoices are due within thirty (30) days of issuance.
3. Corporate Buyer Terms
3.1 Licence Grant
LeanDecom grants the corporate client a non-exclusive, non-transferable, time-limited licence for authorised employees or affiliates (“Authorised Users”) to access the purchased training.
3.2 Access Limits
- Access must be restricted to Authorised Users.
- Login credentials must not be shared.
- Exceeding the licensed user limit requires written consent.
3.3 Onboarding & Customisation
Where included in the CPA, LeanDecom will provide onboarding support and administrative access for user management.
3.4 Renewals & Extensions
Corporate licences expire per the CPA. Renewals or extensions require a new written agreement.
3.5 Audit Rights
LeanDecom may conduct reasonable audits to ensure compliance with these Terms and the CPA.
3.6 Corporate Responsibilities
Corporate clients must ensure user compliance, secure credential storage, and immediate reporting of suspected unauthorised access.
4. Third-Party LMS (Thinkific)
Training content is delivered via Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”) as the third-party Learning Management System (LMS).
Access requires a Thinkific account; use of the system is subject to Thinkific’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
By accessing LeanDecom training, you acknowledge and agree that:
- LeanDecom is not responsible for the availability, performance, or security of the Thinkific platform.
- Your personal data is shared with and processed by Thinkific in accordance with both LeanDecom’s and Thinkific’s privacy policies.
- LeanDecom is not liable for any inability to access content resulting from technical issues, outages, or changes made by Thinkific.
5. Content Usage & Intellectual Property
- All course materials remain the intellectual property of LeanDecom or its licensors.
- You are granted a personal or internal-use-only licence.
- Redistribution, public display, modification, or resale without written consent is prohibited.
6. Privacy & Data Protection
- LeanDecom processes personal data per its Privacy Policy.
- Thinkific also processes data in line with its Privacy Policy and storage protocols.
- Corporate clients must ensure data compliance with applicable laws and necessary consent.
7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
LeanDecom and Thinkific use cookies and similar technologies to improve functionality, personalise experiences, and analyse usage. You may choose to disable cookies, though this may limit functionality. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- All materials are provided “as is” for educational purposes.
- Completion of training does not guarantee any specific outcomes, certifications, compliance, or financial benefits.
- No warranties, express or implied, including fitness for purpose, are made.
- LeanDecom will not be liable for: loss of profits, business, or data; any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; reliance on content.
Liability Cap: LeanDecom’s maximum liability will not exceed the amount paid for the affected service.
9. Termination
- Breach of these Terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
- Users may terminate their accounts via account settings or by contacting support.
10. Refunds
Refunds are subject to LeanDecom’s Refund Policy, accessible on the platform.
11. Amendments
LeanDecom may update these Terms to reflect changes in services or law. Continued use indicates acceptance of revised Terms.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by UK law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify LeanDecom, its staff, and affiliates for any claims or losses arising from your use of the platform or breach of these Terms.
