Oil and Gas Transition Training Fund
The Oil and Gas Transition Training Fund
Skills Development Scotland runs the Fund for the Scottish Government and the UK Government's Office for Clean Energy Jobs.
What it is
Funding that pays for training to help people move from oil and gas into other sectors, including the wider decarbonisation of the economy.
Who it is for
People living in Scotland who work, or have worked within the last 24 months, in a role servicing the oil and gas industry, and who have the right to live and work in the UK.
What it pays for
Course costs only, paid straight to the training provider. It does not cover travel or accommodation. The amount is confirmed when you apply.
Funding is limited. The £6 million round is expected to support more than 1,000 workers. Skills Development Scotland considers applications in the order that complete applications are received, and states that funding is not guaranteed even when all the eligibility rules are met.
All training must be finished by 31 March 2027.
