Refund Policy

Effective Date: 12 August 2025

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies only to individual consumers who purchase LeanDecom digital training courses directly from LeanDecom, a trading name of Energy Insider Ltd.

This policy does not apply to:

  • Corporate or organisational purchases made under quotation, bespoke agreement, framework agreement, or licence arrangement
  • Purchases completed via authorised third-party distributors, resellers, or licensed training partners

Such purchases are governed by separate contractual terms and conditions agreed at the time of sale.

LeanDecom courses are supplied as digital content, with access provided immediately upon purchase.

2. Statutory Position Under UK Law

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers who purchase digital content online are normally entitled to a 14-day cancellation period.

However, where digital content is supplied immediately, the statutory right to cancel does not apply once the consumer has expressly agreed to immediate access and acknowledged that their right to cancel will be lost upon access.

3. LeanDecom's Refund Policy

Although UK law does not require refunds to be offered once digital content access has begun, LeanDecom chooses to provide a limited goodwill refund policy. This allows customers to review the platform and assess suitability before committing fully.

This policy is offered in addition to statutory rights and is intended to balance consumer confidence with the protection of proprietary, expert-led training content.

4. Refund Eligibility

An individual purchaser may request a refund where all of the following conditions are met:

  • The refund request is submitted within seven (7) calendar days of the purchase date
  • Total viewing time across all purchased content does not exceed 30 minutes, as recorded by our Learning Management System (LMS)
  • No more than 10 percent of any individual course, module, or lesson has been accessed
  • The request is made by the original purchaser using the registered account email address

Access beyond any of these limits constitutes material consumption of digital content and renders the purchase non-refundable.

5. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to:

support@leandecom.com

Please include:

  • Full name
  • Registered email address
  • Purchase date
  • Reason for the refund request

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days.

Any transaction, processing, or currency conversion fees charged by payment providers are non-refundable.

Once a refund is issued, access to the digital content will be immediately revoked.

7. Acknowledgement of Digital Content Access

By purchasing a LeanDecom course, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The content is digital and supplied immediately upon purchase
  • Your statutory right to cancel is waived once access begins, in accordance with UK law
  • Any refund provided by LeanDecom is a discretionary goodwill gesture, subject to the conditions set out in this policy

8. Policy Updates

LeanDecom reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will apply only to purchases made after the updated policy is published.
