Biography

Kevin McSweeney is a senior decommissioning project leader within TAQA Group, specialising in topsides preparation and removal execution within the UK North Sea.

He has played a key leadership role in major offshore removal campaigns, including the Brae Bravo topsides removal programme. His work has centred on the Engineering, Preparation, Removal and Disposal (EPRD) phase, ensuring offshore facilities are technically ready, structurally prepared and operationally aligned for safe heavy lift execution.

Kevin’s responsibility spans structural readiness, systems isolation, contractor coordination and offshore execution governance. He works across engineering, operations and supply chain interfaces to ensure that preparation activity translates into safe, efficient and controlled removal campaigns.
